1) One profile thread per member. All your character profiles go in that one thread.
2) There is no set way for sharing a profile; I write mine out now, others create lists of features.
3) There are some minimum requirements for a character profile:
-include a name
-include some kind of physical description (this can be just a picture)
-include some kind of important information about the character's past, preferences, beliefs, something of substance about the character...and be descriptive!!!!!
4) Don't post in others' character profile threads. If you spot a mistake or have a question, or just want to say that you really like the character or how someone wrote up a profile, do this in a PM, in a thread in the Dear Whoever board, or even make a fiction thread specifying you'd like for that person to roleplay with you! If they don't respond, post in the Looking for Writers sub-board for other members to join in.
5) If you want to join in but you don't understand how play-by-post roleplaying works, see en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Play-by-post_role-playing_game.
6) There are minimum rules for RP threads:
-Include a descriptive title
-Include information on your character's location at the very least, but general mindset and purpose/plot would really help you get others to join in
-Write in third person
-Put internal thought in italics
-Out of character chat can be done inside an in character post, just put it in parentheses. OOC must be shorter than your IC writing.
-No flaming or god-modding.
-Try, please try to write more than a few sentences (not counting OOC). Beginning posts should be multiple paragraphs. Clearly not everyone writes on the same level, but attempting to write more, and provide more description, is a great exercise and helps other people by providing them with material to respond to!
7) Have fun!! This is your chance to be who you are not, or be exactly who you are.
